Our History

AmeriGuard Private Security was established in 1982 by Lawrence B. Garcia, a 14-year Veteran of San Joaquin Valley Law Enforcement and a Veteran of the United States Navy. Under his leadership, Aztec Global Security provided Security and Investigative services in the Central Valley and Bay area, earning the title of Minority Service Firm of the Year by the City and State of California in 1997. Lawrence B. Garcia built the business on the principles of chain of command, mission readiness, personnel selection, training, and timeliness.

In 2000, Lawrence D. Garcia took over the business, bringing his experience as a firefighter for the United States Navy, Police Academy training, and ambulance and emergency room experience. In 2003, Lawrence changed the business name to AmeriGuard Security, continuing to develop the business while building a nationally recognized security firm within the Federal government. Today, AmeriGuard is very selective in regards to who we employ, ensuring that our officers undergo an extensive background check through the FBI and the Department of Justice. Our officers are trained annually on First Aid, CPR, and have a minimum of 120 hours of advanced training.
