Corning Investigative Services (C.I.S.) was founded in 2005 by Fred Peters and Mike Gustina as a full-service private investigations and security business. Since its inception, the company has grown significantly. In 2015, Randy Dorer and Joe Kelly partnered with Fred and Mike to continue providing top-quality investigative services. After Fred and Mike's retirement in 2016, Randy and Joe have led the company, ensuring continuity and excellence in their services.

Our History and Expertise

Fred and Mike, both retired police officers, enjoyed full careers that exposed them to local, state, and federal investigations. They managed numerous cases, some considered high profile, in their roles as a City of Corning police investigator and a NY State Police investigator. Randy, with his extensive experience as a retired NY State Police USDOT Commercial Vehicle Inspector, brings expertise in the field of safety and security. Joe Kelly, who retired from the NY State Police in 2015 as an investigator with the Major Crimes Unit, has experience in major crime investigation and crisis situations.

Our staff is comprised of trained professionals with decades of investigative and security experience. We have the ability to supply services in almost any location and under almost any circumstance. Our services include drone surveillance, vehicle inspections, and security guard services. We also provide references upon request and are proud members of the Chemung County Chamber of Commerce and the Corning Area Chamber of Commerce.
